Dr. Jason Sonners is the Clinic Director of NJ HBOT and HBOT USA and a Certified Hyperbaric Practitioner. He supports patients with a variety of autoimmune and neurological conditions, allergies, autism, cancer and many others. He combines Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Nutrition, Exercise, Detoxification programs and much more to help naturally support patients and guide them through their health challenges.

Dr. Jason originally tried hyperbaric for himself at a conference to work on a neuropathy that wasn’t responding to chiropractic, nutrition, physical therapy and other methods. He was amazed by the results. He bought his first chamber then and there, and brought it home to help his step dad who has Multiple Sclerosis. He continued to be impressed by the power and effectiveness of HBOT. This set him on his mission to help lead the way in the field of Hyperbaric Oxygen, disseminating education and facilitating access to this incredible therapy.

Patrick Elliott, D.O., FACS

Dr. Patrick Elliott, Medical Director of Innovative Hyperbaric Solutions, is hyperbaric trained and a practicing board-certified general and trauma surgeon. He became an advocate for hyperbaric therapies associated with the brain when trying to find solutions to treat his autistic sons and saw firsthand the benefits of this therapy.

A graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Elliott completed his surgical residency at the University of Illinois/Cook County Hospital and Letterman Army Medical Center in California.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Elliott served with the U.S. Army as commander and general surgeon during overseas deployment missions to Bosnia, Honduras and Egypt.

His passion and belief that Autism Spectrum Disorder in an “acquired brain injury” with toxic and metabolic components associated with a genetic predisposition is based on his extensive personal experience as both a physician and parent of children with ASD. After his twin boys were diagnosed with Autism at age 3 in 2004, he worked tirelessly to help his children overcome the challenges of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The use of a combined behavioral and biomedical approach to treatment has yielded extraordinary results with both his children, along with countless others he has helped and learned from along the way.

As a MAPS medical academy of special needs physician, Dr. Elliott continues to broaden his own experiences and expertise in treating children and adults with ASD, PANDS, PANS, and other conditions associated with developmental delay. Our practice remains on the cutting edge of new and innovative approaches as we help children with special needs maximize their potential.

Michael Montico, MD

Dr. Montico has been working with individuals on the spectrum using a functional medicine approach since 2009. After earning his MD degree at Wayne State University in 1998, he completed a residency in Family Medicine at Providence Hospital in 2001and then stayed at Providence Hospital to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine.

A Medical Academy of Pediatric Specialty (MAPS) physician, Dr. Montico began his biomedical training through Defeat Autism Now (DAN) conferences from 2007-2012, and has continued his education through attendance at MAPS conferences (2013-present).

Dr. Montico’s son Owen was diagnosed with Autism at an early age, Owen has made sizeable gains using the biomedical approach starting in 2007. Seeing the dramatic positive effects in his son, Dr. Montico was motivated to reach out to other families and help their loved ones. In 2009, he began treating families with the biomedical approach in his practice in Michigan. In 2015, he began serving families in the greater Philadelphia area.

His is passionate about partnering with parents so they can use this approach with their children. In evaluating both children and adults, he employs a functional medicine approach with a focus on developing strong relationships and comprehensive treatment plans.


Dr. Noémie Long is a Neurostructural Chiropractic Physician specializing in Biological Optimization. Born and raised in Rochester NY, Dr. Long attended Stony Brook University in Long Island, NY where she received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Biology with a minor in Health and Wellness.

Having largely benefited from chiropractic care as a child for both idiopathic neuropathy and also for scoliosis, she began to focus on the nervous system and human frame. In 2017 Dr. Long received the degree Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College with additional certifications in nutritional care and pregnancy adjusting.

Immediately following graduation, Dr. Long joined a small private practice in Buffalo, NY with the purpose of guiding her patients towards optimal health and well-being by improving structural, nutritional and metabolic balance and efficiency through Biological Optimization. In 2018, she joined Core Therapies to continue that mission.

In addition, Dr. Long is a member of the ICPA, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and is certified in both Activator Methods and the Webster Technique, a specific chiropractic analysis and treatment that supports the neurostructural function of expectant mothers’ bodies.

Dr. Long continues to operate in her pursuit to be accessible to her patients and help as many families as possible achieve optimal health and wellness. In her quest for further knowledge in chiropractic, nutrition, biological and neurological optimization, she attends seminars around the country to stay current with the latest techniques, philosophies and research.

Dr. Long has two cats named American Harvest and Pringles the Cat. She is an avid baker, dancer and volunteers her time to help animal shelters.


Dr. Marc Funderlich specializes in Functional Neurology which focuses on correcting the integration and function of the brain in both children and adults.

Dr. Funderlich takes a comprehensive approach to brain development and restoration by employing blood work, lifestyle change, physical rehabilitation, and passive therapies.  It’s a time-intensive approach in which each patient receives not only the best possible care, but becomes fully-educated about their condition.  He believes strongly that the more his patients understand about their disease process, the better and faster they can aid in their recovery.

As a speaker for a variety of organizations, Dr. Funderlich addresses best practices, laser therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, developmental immunology and neurology.  He is board eligible for his Functional Neurology Fellow, Developmental Disorders Fellow and is in process to complete his Traumatic Brain Injury Fellow.  He is also a Certified Concussion Specialist.

Dr. Funderlich practices in Northern New Jersey at Core Therapies Family Wellness Center and New Jersey Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Center.

Scott Eller, Hyperbaric Tech

Scott Eller is a Board-Certified Hyperbaric Tech with 25 years in the Hyperbaric Field.  Much of his experience was gained during his 15 years at the Institute of Environmental Medicine and the University of Pennsylvania Hyperbarics.  He has also worked at Accelecare and the Autism Treatment Center.

Scott is a Pennsylvania Paramedic and a Military Veteran of the U.S. Army with10 years of service.

Gabrielle Gormley, Clinic Coordinator/Office Manager, Hyperbaric Technician

Gabby received hyperbaric training at Winthrop University Hospital.  She is a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) and an EMT Course/EMT Instructor.  Gabby is also certified in CPR by the American Heart Association.
