Which option you choose might depend on one of these issues:
Number of sessions needed: In some cases, patients may need 40, 80 or even a few hundred sessions. In other cases, it is important to have 2 sessions per day and having a chamber at home would be more convenient and cost effective.
Difficulty with mobility: We do our best to help patients in and out of our chamber in the office, but if getting to and from the office is difficult or a lot of assistance is required to get in and out of the chamber, it may make more sense to have home access to your own chamber.
Distance to the office: Even for some of the more basic cases, 10-20 sessions is a minimum amount of oxygen exposure required to help. If there is not a nearby center, it could make more sense to have your own.
We try to keep these factors in mind and help patients come up with the most practical, affordable and convenient plan in order to get the needed treatment.
